To our Fischman Orthodontics family,
We hope that you are all in good health. The world has been through a lot over the last few months and we are proud of our community’s resilience. It is with excitement that we announce our office will be opening again soon.
Many of you have taken on new roles recently as part-time teachers to your at-home students, Zoom coordinators, or even amateur bakers. We thank you for your patience and commitment to our community’s well-being. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our dedication to your safety.
While we have not been open for routine appointments, our staff has participated in educational webinars, collaborated with colleagues, and received training from health experts. Following recent guidance from the Governor and the Connecticut State Dental Association, our Scheduling Coordinator is able to begin the process of rescheduling appointments and will be in touch with you very soon. Please keep in mind that we had to cancel many appointments since March 16, 2020. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but it will take time.
Universal precautions have always been a top priority for our practice. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. During the office shutdown period, we have worked hard to stay on top of all the new recommendations for infection control and Personal Protective Equipment. Our office will follow additional infection control recommendations made by the State of Connecticut and the Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Virtual appointments are here to stay! With your help, we have had great success with our virtual appointments thus far. The Scheduling Coordinator will let you know if your appointment will be virtual or in-person. We are making other changes in our office to enhance the safety of our patients and staff during future in-person appointments. Please take note of these changes on the following page.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you—and our community—safe. We value your trust and loyalty, and want to thank you for being our patients, neighbors, and friends.
